Good evening. I am writing to ask about hair loss. I am in my mid-20s and within the past 2 months have been shedding hair. It is gradual. Two times my hair has stopped the shower drain, but other than that, I have simply noticed it when I put hairspray or gel in my hair. I run my fingers through my hair and usually have 7-8 individual hairs left in my hand. This does not seem normal. I have read that we lose an average of 100 hairs each day. But it still doesn't seem normal for me to shed 1-2 hairs every time I run my fingers through my hair. I have read that over-masturbation could be a cause of this because it causes the build-up of DHT. I suffered from over-masturbation but have since slowed the frequency dramatically. Can you please inform me of 1) whether or not my hair loss sounds normal and 2) what I can do to eliminate hair loss. My relatives have not lost their hair, so I do not believe it's a genetic thing. Thanks for your help.
Nothing can eliminate natural hair loss but maybe it is your diet or hair products. I'd see a dermatologist who can do a biopsy of your scalp and medically help you.
