I am an African-American woman and I have large dark discolorations on my left calf. I have had these scars for about ten years. I have tried bleach creams but they were not effective. Is laser surgery or plastic surgery an option to reduce the darkness of these spots?
There are some success stories with cool laser on scar reduction for people of color. I am very olive skinned and had trouble with the conventional laser used under my eyes.
Please ask lots of questions regarding experience and ask to speak to patients.
