I have very large calf muscles that aren't in proportion with my thin upper body and thighs. I have tried doing calf stretches and have even resorted to wearing flat shoes to see if my calf muscles would shrink but my problem is persistant. My calves probably wouldn't benefit from something like liposuction because there isn't any fat on them, it seems to be a problem with hyperactive muscles. My calf muscles swell when I do mild walking. I've heard of a form of calf reduction surgery that is performed in Korea and Japan. Is it safe and is there any surgeons in the Bay Area who perform calf reduction surgery that you know of?
You havr a unique problem that I do not believe is addressed here in the states.
You might want to get in touch with some of the big plastic surgery boards like The American Society for Plastic Surgery at http://www.plasticsurgery.org and ask.
Hope this helps!
