I'm considering a facelift. I have interviewed four facial plastic surgeons in the St. Louis area to this point. All four are certified by all of the correct boards with hundreds of face lifts preformed, and one Regan Thomas is considered to be one of the top ten surgeons in the U.S. My question is the surgeon that I am leaning toward is Dr. David Caplin. All four indicate that the surgery will take approximately five and one-half hours. Three of the Surgeons fees range from $5500.00 to $7500.00, Caplin's fee is $11,000. Should I be concerned about this disparity, money is not a particular factor in my decision however Caplin is the "Hot" facial plastic surgeon in this market, gets by far the most press. Are these disparities among top facial plastic surgeons common in other markets, say L.A., New York etc? Many Thanks for any imput that you may forward. Martin Flannery
