I've had two rhinoplasty surgeries that have resulted very badly. I had high hopes for my second doctor. He was the head of plastic surgery at the University of Washington. He acted so confident in his abilities but in the end left me $5,000 poorer and no better off. I now have a even more deformed tip and an incision scare that makes me feel like a badly sewn rag doll. This doctor confessed later that he wasn't very good at noses and that I should consult a facial specialist. I wish he had been honest up front instead of taking me for a ride. Could you perhaps help answer two questions: Is there a web site or a place patients can go to report bad doctors? Secondly, how should I go about finding a really good facial plastic surgeon? The tip of my nose is going to need a spreader graft and some major reforming. I know I can't live the rest of my life with my nose looking like this but I'm starting to doubt there are any talented doctors out there.
I a, so sorry for your pain. Was either doctor a member of a medical board of plastic surgery? Find out and you can start there as well as the medical board in your state. You are now dealing in the realm of reconstruction as well as plastic surgery. Do you have any doctors as friends or a doctor you see that can give you a solid referal in your area.
I wish you well.
