On August 7th, 2002 I had liposuction on my abdomanals, love handles, chest, inner and outer thighs. My doc says that the swelling will be completely gone in 3 months. However, I am still feeling burning sensations around my middle area. My stomach is flat now, and most of my love handles are gone, but I can't tell if what's left is swelling or just something he missed. Also, as part of lipo on my chest the doc made a small incision on the lower part of my nipple to further reduce the fat in that area. As a result the part of the nipples where the incision was made is inverted somewhat. When I mentioned it to my doc he said the more I work out the more it will fill in. I'm not sure I like that answer at all. As I mentioned though, I continue to have burning sensations around my middle (what, two months later) which is very uncomfortable for me. I'd appreciate your comments, thoughts, and advice. Thanks for listening
I'd go back to my doc and see another surgeon for a consult if the burning continues. Swelling can take up to 6 months to completely diminish. The medical aspects are the most important...
